Maiduguri Under Attack As Severe Explosions and Gunshots Hits the City On Election Day

Just 2 hours to the Presidential election Borno state capital Maiduguri and its environs are under severe attack with several heavy explosion and gunshots in the city, the residents of Maiduguri are currently in panic as series of explosions have rocked the city all within ten minutes.

The explosions, seven of them, began at around 5:50am and ended a little around 6am on Saturday 23/02/2019.

Residents are worried about their safety, especially with the presidential and National Assembly elections scheduled to begin in less than two hours. As at the time of filling this report we cannot ascertain the numbers of casualty in the several latest attack

Chief Medical Director, LAUTECH reveals the real cause of Davido's uncle Senator Isiaka Adeleke's death The Chief Medical Director, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Teaching Hospital, Osogbo, Prof Akeem Lasisi has revealed the actual cause of the death of the Senator representing Osun-West senatorial district, Chief Isiaka Adeleke.   A video making rounds online has captured moment a man walked in on his wife feeding her alleged lover in their home.    The wife was seen fidgeting at one corner of the sitting room as the man continously disclosed that the meeting confirms all he's been hearing about his wife.    As the wife's alleged lover ignored the lady's husband and proceeded to eat, the angry man knocked down the food.    Watch the video below.......... Ondo, Borno, Edo, five others reject home treatment for COVID-19 patients

Amid the rising number of cases and the refusal of some persons who test positive for COVID-19 to go  to isolation centres, many states have said they will continue to treat the infected patients at isolation centres rather than resort to home treatment option. They noted that getting persons who had tested positive for the virus to the isolation centres remained one of their strategies to contain the spread of the deadly virus.  Lagos State had on Thursday said it was considering adopting home treatment option for patients with mild symptoms, noting that it would soon release the guidelines for the treatment option. The state Commissioner for Health, Prof Akin Abayomi, said the decision to consider home treatment for some COVID-19 patients became necessary because some residents who tested positive for the COVID-19 refused to go to the state isolation centres and had been practising self-treatment in various places.
