Amid the rising number of cases and the refusal of some persons who test positive for COVID-19 to go to isolation centres, many states have said they will continue to treat the infected patients at isolation centres rather than resort to home treatment option. They noted that getting persons who had tested positive for the virus to the isolation centres remained one of their strategies to contain the spread of the deadly virus. Lagos State had on Thursday said it was considering adopting home treatment option for patients with mild symptoms, noting that it would soon release the guidelines for the treatment option. The state Commissioner for Health, Prof Akin Abayomi, said the decision to consider home treatment for some COVID-19 patients became necessary because some residents who tested positive for the COVID-19 refused to go to the state isolation centres and had been practising self-treatment in various places. Celebration of a fulfilled life: Dr Olugbenga Kuponiyi How does one measure a life well spent? That question appears very simple, but puzzling when closely examined. Whatever the case may be, both religion and history agree on one fact, a life well spent is that which leaves a positive mark on the sands of time. The much loved 46 year old father, husband, brother, uncle and friend Dr Olugbenga Kuponiyi who was born into the family of Late Pa Elijah Oluwatayo Kuponiyi and Mrs Beatrice Kuponiyi on the 28th of October 1970, impacted many people in the course of his life. Little wonder then that hundreds from far and wide stormed Sagamu, Ogun state to pay their last respects and commiserate with his family during his funeral ceremony, amidst cheers and tears. Cheers because his legacy definitely will live after him and tears because even...
