Nigeria labour minister Chris Ngige said today "If our proposed N24,000 minimum wage is not acceptable to the workers, they should leave government work for farming to know how difficult life is"

Uyo bus garage: Woman slumps at arrival  As reported by a co passenger. She said the woman’s husband brought her to Lagos park alive to board the vehicle going to Uyo.He kneww the woman wasn’t very strong while embarking on the long journey. And had made arrangement with a pastor here in Uyo to pick her and commence prayers. The woman arrived Uyo alive, stepped out of the vehicle, asked for her luggage to be given to her. When the driver saw that he was weak, he offered her a chair to sit while waiting for pick-up.. the next thing she fell off the chair and died. Ondo, Borno, Edo, five others reject home treatment for COVID-19 patients

Amid the rising number of cases and the refusal of some persons who test positive for COVID-19 to go  to isolation centres, many states have said they will continue to treat the infected patients at isolation centres rather than resort to home treatment option. They noted that getting persons who had tested positive for the virus to the isolation centres remained one of their strategies to contain the spread of the deadly virus.  Lagos State had on Thursday said it was considering adopting home treatment option for patients with mild symptoms, noting that it would soon release the guidelines for the treatment option. The state Commissioner for Health, Prof Akin Abayomi, said the decision to consider home treatment for some COVID-19 patients became necessary because some residents who tested positive for the COVID-19 refused to go to the state isolation centres and had been practising self-treatment in various places.
