2face showed a spirit of sportsmanship


The award winning Nigerian artist 2face who is currently being known as Tu Baba has demonstrated good spirit of sportsmanship by celebrating with fans  of Arsenal FC after they won the English FA Cup last Saturday, beating Chelsea 2-1.

2Baba had made a surprise appearance during the FA Cup finals at two major viewing centres in Lagos.

At the beginning of the match, he shook hands and greeted fans before taking a seat to enjoy the match while drinking  Campari. During the halftime break, he performed his hit song, Implication, which really entertained the fans throughout the half time break. He also gave the fans free bottles of Campari and free Jerseys.

During the second half of the match, he left there and went on to watch the match at Esporta Suites, Magodo. After the match which saw Chelsea lose to Arsenal 2-1,  2face celebrated with the Arsenal fans despite the fact that his team lost. He cheered fans with selfies and photos. He also presented gifts to some of the lucky winners at the bar.

Ondo, Borno, Edo, five others reject home treatment for COVID-19 patients

Amid the rising number of cases and the refusal of some persons who test positive for COVID-19 to go  to isolation centres, many states have said they will continue to treat the infected patients at isolation centres rather than resort to home treatment option. They noted that getting persons who had tested positive for the virus to the isolation centres remained one of their strategies to contain the spread of the deadly virus.  Lagos State had on Thursday said it was considering adopting home treatment option for patients with mild symptoms, noting that it would soon release the guidelines for the treatment option. The state Commissioner for Health, Prof Akin Abayomi, said the decision to consider home treatment for some COVID-19 patients became necessary because some residents who tested positive for the COVID-19 refused to go to the state isolation centres and had been practising self-treatment in various places. Minimum wage: Labour Reacts as FG Denies Approving N30,000. "We Will Go Back To Strike"

The Federal Government said on Wednesday the N30,000 minimum wage proposal contained in the report of the tripartite committee set up by the Federal Government was still a recommendation and had not been approved. Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, who spoke with State House correspondents after the weekly Federal Executive Council, said President Muhammadu Buhari would still study the report presented to him on Tuesday by the Chairman of the committee, Amal Pepple, before taking a decision on it. Pepple had while presenting the report on Tuesday disclosed that the committee recommended that the national minimum wage be increased from N18,000 monthly to N30,000. She also said her committee drafted a bill that the Federal Government would send to the National Assembly to effect the change. Danfo bus fire--- 4 injured, commuters suffer as commercial bus burns on Lagos bridge

Hundreds of commuters were stranded and, at least, four people injured on Tuesday as a commercial bus, maneuvering near a fallen fuel tanker, burnt beyond recognition, blocking the ever-busy Oke Afa-Isolo Bridge in Lagos. The Vanagon bus carrying 14 passengers burnt at 6.30a.m. when it was ascending the bridge connecting Oke Afa with Isolo, Okota and some others in Oshodi-Isolo LGA. A witness at the scene said that four occupants of the bus were rushed to the Isolo General Hospital for treatment. The witness, who identified himself simply as a financial expert, was driving a 2005 Toyota and closely following the burnt bus. The witness, whose car was slightly affected by smoke at the rear, told NAN that the bus driver was among those rushed to hospital. According to him, the bus’s exhaust pipe absorbed petrol from potholes into which petrol spilled on Monday evening when a tanker laden with fuel fell on the foot of the bridge.
