SIX BURNT TO DEATH IN MULTIPLE ACCIDENT ALONG SAGAMU/BENIN EXPRESSWAY At least six people were reportedly burnt to death on Wednesday in a multiple accident involving a container laden truck and two commercial buses at J4, Ogbere area on the Sagamu-Benin Expressway, as reported by News Agency of Nigeria (NAN). The Sagamu/Benin accident was said to have occurred at around 2:15 p.m. at a section of the road where there was a diversion of traffic to a single lane. Mr Babatunde Akinbiyi, the spokesperson of the Ogun Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE), who confirmed the accident, said 10 others persons suffered varying degrees of injury. Akinbiyi added that the operatives of the state road safety agency at the scene, said the driver of the truck, travelling toward Benin, overtook another vehicle wrongly and rammed into one of the buses coming from the opposite direction. Team Of Teenage Girls repping Nigeria from Anambra Win the 2018 Technovation World pitch junior division!!  A team of brilliant Nigerians have won gold at Technovation competition 2018 held in Silicon Valley, California. The Nigerian #TeamSaveASoul comprised of five students of Regina Pacis College, Onitsha, Anambra State. Iridescent, a nonprofit empowering underrepresented young people globally to become innovators and leaders, announced that two teams of girls – one from India and Nigeria – won top honors at its 2018 Technovation World Pitch Summit, the world’s largest tech entrepreneurship program for girls ages 10-18. The two teams were named winners in the senior and junior divisions, respectively, during the “Global Innovation Celebration” held in the San Jose Theatre Aug. 9. Big Brother Naija : How Miracle beat 19 others to win Nigeria’s biggest reality TV show, Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) ended on Sunday with Miracle, one of the 20 housemates winning the grand prize.
