SIX BURNT TO DEATH IN MULTIPLE ACCIDENT ALONG SAGAMU/BENIN EXPRESSWAY At least six people were reportedly burnt to death on Wednesday in a multiple accident involving a container laden truck and two commercial buses at J4, Ogbere area on the Sagamu-Benin Expressway, as reported by News Agency of Nigeria (NAN). The Sagamu/Benin accident was said to have occurred at around 2:15 p.m. at a section of the road where there was a diversion of traffic to a single lane. Mr Babatunde Akinbiyi, the spokesperson of the Ogun Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE), who confirmed the accident, said 10 others persons suffered varying degrees of injury. Akinbiyi added that the operatives of the state road safety agency at the scene, said the driver of the truck, travelling toward Benin, overtook another vehicle wrongly and rammed into one of the buses coming from the opposite direction. Five Corpers Kidnapped On The Way Camp. Some gunmen on Wednesday kidnapped five members of the National Youth Service Corps who were travelling to their orientation camps in Akwa Ibom and Rivers states. Two other passengers on the bus conveying the corps members were also kidnapped. The fresh graduates and the other victims were travelling from Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, to Rivers and Akwa Ibom states where they were billed to undertake their three-week NYSC orientation. They were kidnapped on the Owerri-Port Harcourt Expressway and taken to the Umuapu forest in the Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area of Imo State. Briefing journalists after the victims were rescued by the police, the Commissioner of Police in charge of the Imo State Police Command, Dasuki Galadanchi, said the kidnappers established contact with the families of the corps members and demanded N5m ransom. Couple uses son as collateral for 8000 naira Family of  Ajala Samuel a 15 year old boy thought they could briefly use him to raise  some money for some urgent family needs. But four months after he has been handled over to a Lagos trader, identified as Iya Meta, who in return gave them N8,000, the boy is no where to be found. Sources confirmed that Iya Meta allegedly loaned Samuel to some other traders on the Lagos Island, who paid even more for the boy, N72,000.  The traders were alleged to have further given him out to another family in the state. It's more like a relay race in which runners pass baton to one another. Two policewomen, identified as Titi and Funmilayo from the Ijora Badia division, were accused of harassing the family to refund the N72,000 paid to Iya Meta, failing which Samuel would be forced to work till October 2017 when the contract would expire. Just 2 hours to the Presidential election Borno state capital Maiduguri and its environs are under severe attack with several heavy explosion and gunshots in the city, the residents of Maiduguri are currently in panic as series of explosions have rocked the city all within ten minutes. The explosions, seven of them, began at around 5:50am and ended a little around 6am on Saturday 23/02/2019. Residents are worried about their safety, especially with the presidential and National Assembly elections scheduled to begin in less than two hours. Nigerians react after BBN housemate, Ahneeka gets rejected by fellow housemate, Dee-One during pairing Big Brother Naija housemate, Ahneeka got rejected by a fellow housemate, Dee-One during housemates paring. The female housemates were asked to go choose a guy who they wanted to pair with and they can only become a pair if the male housemate accepts. Ahneeka was the first female housemate to choose and got rejected by Dee-One. She had to wait until every other housemate had been paired before she chose the remaining housemate, Rico Swavey.
