Just 2 hours to the Presidential election Borno state capital Maiduguri and its environs are under severe attack with several heavy explosion and gunshots in the city, the residents of Maiduguri are currently in panic as series of explosions have rocked the city all within ten minutes. The explosions, seven of them, began at around 5:50am and ended a little around 6am on Saturday 23/02/2019. Residents are worried about their safety, especially with the presidential and National Assembly elections scheduled to begin in less than two hours. The Attack on Jehovah's Witnesses. AllOverNigeria commiserates with Jehovah's Witnesses who were attacked at a regional convention in Luanda, Angola on Friday, August 25 2017. According to reports, Over 400 Jehovah's witnesses passed out after inhaling toxic substances. Thanks to the JW brothers, the police arrested three young men found guilty of the crime. One of the suspects was arrested in a bathroom while trying to change his clothes while the second one was trying to get into the sister's rest room to change his clothes, and the third one was caught while trying to run out from the gate. Couple uses son as collateral for 8000 naira Family of  Ajala Samuel a 15 year old boy thought they could briefly use him to raise  some money for some urgent family needs. But four months after he has been handled over to a Lagos trader, identified as Iya Meta, who in return gave them N8,000, the boy is no where to be found. Sources confirmed that Iya Meta allegedly loaned Samuel to some other traders on the Lagos Island, who paid even more for the boy, N72,000.  The traders were alleged to have further given him out to another family in the state. It's more like a relay race in which runners pass baton to one another. Two policewomen, identified as Titi and Funmilayo from the Ijora Badia division, were accused of harassing the family to refund the N72,000 paid to Iya Meta, failing which Samuel would be forced to work till October 2017 when the contract would expire.
