The Attack on Jehovah's Witnesses. AllOverNigeria commiserates with Jehovah's Witnesses who were attacked at a regional convention in Luanda, Angola on Friday, August 25 2017. According to reports, Over 400 Jehovah's witnesses passed out after inhaling toxic substances. Thanks to the JW brothers, the police arrested three young men found guilty of the crime. One of the suspects was arrested in a bathroom while trying to change his clothes while the second one was trying to get into the sister's rest room to change his clothes, and the third one was caught while trying to run out from the gate. SIX BURNT TO DEATH IN MULTIPLE ACCIDENT ALONG SAGAMU/BENIN EXPRESSWAY At least six people were reportedly burnt to death on Wednesday in a multiple accident involving a container laden truck and two commercial buses at J4, Ogbere area on the Sagamu-Benin Expressway, as reported by News Agency of Nigeria (NAN). The Sagamu/Benin accident was said to have occurred at around 2:15 p.m. at a section of the road where there was a diversion of traffic to a single lane. Mr Babatunde Akinbiyi, the spokesperson of the Ogun Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE), who confirmed the accident, said 10 others persons suffered varying degrees of injury. Akinbiyi added that the operatives of the state road safety agency at the scene, said the driver of the truck, travelling toward Benin, overtook another vehicle wrongly and rammed into one of the buses coming from the opposite direction. Five Corpers Kidnapped On The Way Camp. Some gunmen on Wednesday kidnapped five members of the National Youth Service Corps who were travelling to their orientation camps in Akwa Ibom and Rivers states. Two other passengers on the bus conveying the corps members were also kidnapped. The fresh graduates and the other victims were travelling from Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, to Rivers and Akwa Ibom states where they were billed to undertake their three-week NYSC orientation. They were kidnapped on the Owerri-Port Harcourt Expressway and taken to the Umuapu forest in the Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area of Imo State. Briefing journalists after the victims were rescued by the police, the Commissioner of Police in charge of the Imo State Police Command, Dasuki Galadanchi, said the kidnappers established contact with the families of the corps members and demanded N5m ransom.
